The Wake Forest Charity Car Show, now in its 5th year, will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, along South White Street (a portion will be closed for the show) in historic downtown Wake Forest.
This is the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend. The event is free and open to the public. Cars that are displayed in the show, pay a $20 registration fee. Registration is from 8 – 11 a.m., awards are at 1:30 p.m. and the show ends at 2 p.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit a number of local charities, including the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry that serves as many as 700 local families each month, distributing an average of 18,000 food items to them. This is the largest food pantry serving Wake Forest, Rolesville and Youngsville areas since 1988.
We expect good weather that day–it’s June, so we know it will be hot. You can purchase bottled water from the Wake Forest Junior ROTC, food from the VFW Chuckwagon and ice cream from Lumpy’s. Be sure to visit the restaurants and shops in downtown Wake Forest.
In case of inclement weather, the rain date for the 2017 Car Show is Saturday, June 24.
